Just paid $2.90 for my last tank but the price can be as much as 10 cents higher around here, depending on the station.

Slip over into Arizona and the gas tax drops almost 30 cents. In general, the "belt" from Arizona to South Carolina is the cheapest (except for Alaska), and the highest taxes are the Pacific coast, around the Great Lakes, and WV ,PA, NY, CN, RI, ME, NC and FL.
The US avg is 48.1 and CA is 66.1

I paid $111.2 Canadian per litre for my last tank. With the exchange rate, that works out to about $4.26 per U.S. gallon. I wish I could get it for you're paying for it.

Americans must be the stupidest people on Earth. We are sitting on possibly the world's largest oil reserves, and we won't pump it. I am not too happy knowing every time I buy gas I'm supporting those who would kill all of us if they had the chance.
End of rant.....

Why so serious?

Maybe the idea is to drain them dry, then we have ALL the power.

Pity the poor Nova Scotians. They are usually about 3 to 7 cents per litre higher. We always top off in Maine, then again just before we leave NB. Right now the NB average is $1.10 and NS is $1.17. Fredericton and Moncton must be keeping the average down up there.
