Variable density, Neutral density filter

Just got a Spiratone DAD ND filter delivered today. The DAD stands for "Dial a Density". It can go from 3X to 8X of light blocking. Great for those times you want a slower shutter speed for special effects like silky looking moving water water. It's a 55mm filter so I'll have to use a stepping ring to fit most of my lenses that are 52mm filter sized..Got it for $3.51 on eBay with $5.95 shipping...:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Yea, It is an ebay name. I googled Spiratone DAD ND filter and it shows a closed auction on ebay that sold that specific filter for the exact price you listed above. Thought it might be you. :silly:

It will be very interesting to get your feedback Scott, not a filter man myself but this sounds useful

I'm not a filter man either, but I do use polarizers, ND's & IR pass filters...This should be good for moving water shots for me
