Smallest and lightest travel tripod?

7 years 5 days ago #524211 by Jim Steyvoort
As I have pointed out in a couple other threads, I'll be backpacking through out Europe starting May 17th for a few weeks.  I'm trying to shave weight where I can.  My big Manfrotto tripod is way to big and heavy.

I need something light and small.  I'm 6', so something that get's as close to my height and will hold a D600 with either a 24-70mm or 70-200mm lens would be great.

Thank you

Don't shop price, you'll be disappointed. Also, a travel tripod shouldn't have to achieve eye level, in fact I don't believe I've ever had mine extended all the way. Usually use it low especially for landscapes....
I use an Induro CLT004 with a desmond DB-44, not the lightest but I like it quite a lot....

Why so serious?
