Photo canvas backdrop how to remove wrinkles?

I have a canvas backdrop that has horrible wrinkles in it and I need it tomorrow for a holiday shoot.  What is the best way to remove these wrinkles?

Thanks!

This is what I learned for muslin, but I found some info that suggests it works for canvas, too.

Get yourself a sprayer from Home Depot (such as is used for insecticides...) and fill it with warm water. Hang the backdrop. Spray the unpainted side of the backdrop with water (generous, not soaking). The weight of the cloth may cause the wrinkles to relax in minutes. Repeat as needed. Roll for storage.

One post suggested a 1:4 mix of fabric softener to water. I've only used warm water.

And/or: put your subject further away from the backdrop and use a shallow DoF to blur the background, too, if needed.

Hey Gary, doesn't a hair dryer work on the wrinkled spots too?

I don't know, but probably not very well without moisture. And that would take far too long, IMO.

Hair dryer works on canvas prints for removing wrinkles.

Um, canvas prints don't have paint on them. Canvas backdrops do.

And I believe that the two materials, while having the same name, is somewhat different in makeup.

I know that.  I guess I could have clarified a little better.  I was talking about canvas prints, and THAT I knew a hair dryer would take out wrinkles.  Have no clue if that would work on backdrops.

Roger that.

Keep in mind that sometimes replies aren't just for you. They can also be for others that may not know what you know. Such was the case here.

I am having trouble envisioning when a canvas print might get wrinkled though. Any comments on that?
