New Lens or New Camera

11 months 3 weeks ago #735695 by reene11
I have the original Mark 1 Olympus OMD E-M10 camera body. I have always been slow to progress my camera hobby and have been using the stock kit lens and a purchased 60mm portrait/macro lens for a long time now.
I now want to get into more landscape/nature photography with a focus on bringing my camera with me on backpacking trips into rivers and the mountains. As I am starting to look at lenses for this, I am realizing that I will be investing fairly significantly and started to wonder if I should be upgrading my camera body before spending much more on a new lens.
Is there any logic to the order of upgrades in my scenario? Any considerations that should have me looking at new camera bodies before going deeper into new lens territory?
Thanks for the help!
