Best Tripod for use with a DSLR

A lot has been said, asked, questioned and espoused about good tripods. And all of us love talking about velbons, manfrottos, gitzos, bogens, and what not.
I have some (13) tripods from circa 1937 to the present - wood, brass, aluminum. fibre glass & plastic - German, British, Russian, Japan & China made ones - from midgets to full sized ones.
Here's all about good tripods with photos. And the price will surprise you:-
A short & stout legged tripod is the best - ones whose legs will not flex or creep out with a DSLR + Lens weighing (2) Kgs. Pros please excuse with your super expensive/heavy sports optics.
This tripod has a strong telescopic vertical post holding the ball head or 3-D camera turn table. I found one in Dubai for US $ 33 - Cherry, from the Cherry Shoji Co, Ltd, and made in Japan.
Whenever required I dismount the 3-D turntable and mount a heavy duty German Cullman ball head, shown in the photo.
Begone manfrottos, gitzos ........ blah, blah ... with your super $$$ prices.

Dear Moe and Cliff, I tried uploading the photo using Attachments, but no go. You can see my attempts above. I don't have a website or URL. Attaching photos are so easy in the other forums. Do contact me thru biping at gmail dot com and I will send you the photos with the manufacturers box details.
The Tripod model I have is CHERRY, model TO-319 M. Made in Japan by the Cherry Shoji Company Ltd. Bought it in Dubai for some US $ 35 only. I do not remember the price of the heavy duty German Cullman Ball Head as it was bought in Muscat, Oman some 18 years ago.
I saw quite a lot of other technically advanced Cherry tripods in this Dubai shop selling industrial optical equipment, telescopes etc.
The trick / secret is in the short, stubby, strong legs - (4) telescoping sections with a threaded tightening system and (2) central telescoping vertical sections.
