Accessories you can't live without.

Since I know nothing about accessories for my camera, I wanted to see what you guys use. What are some things that you have bought for your camera that you have to take with you all the time? Or, what are some things that you have bought in the past that you just have to buy again if you get a new camera?

Denhim, please remember that just becasue others use them and class them as an essential that the same will apply to you...

Different people have different techniques when shooting and shoot different styles, this came up on another recent post where the best advice I would give is play with the camera, shoot what you want and post photo's for crit and advice and see what accessories best fit your needs.

I wanted to grab silky smooth water shots so went out and bought £150 of filters to enable me to shoot them, in the year that I have had them I have had them once and although it's nice to know they're in the bag if I need them that's £150 that could have been spent elsewhere....

Wise advice indeed, Denhim take heed and dont spend money unnessessarily.

I think that the tripod is part of the camera. polarizer and light meter are accessories.

It is what it is.

I can live without all the accessories. In fact some of them are probably slowly killing me.

My accessory list is extensive (after all, I've been building it over the last 40 years) & one item that stays on my camera is my "L" bracket..With it, I don't have to worry about QR plates or having to reframe a scene when changing from horizonal to verticle compostion. The wired remote gets used a lot as well
