When on a bike ride, where are you placing your tripod?

When I go on a bike ride, I don't bring my big bag and generally just use a small sling to hold my camera and a few small items. It's been kind of awkward fastening my tripod to the bike, there are no really good spots to mount.

So what is everyone else doing?

When I do use a bike, I use a harness/sling and carry it on my shouldesr-back. It Works.

Or you could use one of those Clik Elite bags. There was a post on this site a few weeks ago, the camera bag acts as a tripod too!

I would just tie to the handle bars. Believe me, I'm sure very few people will take notice to a tripod on handle bars. Even if they did, there have been stranger things attached to bikes.

Depends on how big your tripod is
