PENTAX Brings to the Marketplace the New Optio WG-2 and Optio WG-2 GPS Digital Cameras
In other PENTAX news, the company announced that its new Optio WG-2 and Optio WG-2 GPS “adventure” digital cameras are now available for purchase. As the 13th generation of Optio series cameras, the two new models are rated to be waterproof to a depth of 40 feet, dustproof, cold proof, crushproof and shock resistant.
Both cameras feature a backlit 16-megapixel sensor, wide-angle 5x internal optical zoom lens (28–140mm equivalent), six LED lights that make it easier to shoot macro images as close as .4 of an inch (1cm), and 1080/30p Full HD video.
During spring 2012, PENTAX will be releasing a SportMount Chest Harness on which either camera can be attached to free the hands of outdoor enthusiasts to enhance safety.
