Polaroid, famous for its cameras that produced instant prints, now introduces an equivalent for the digital age: the Polaroid Z340. The camera is designed with the retro look of the company’s film cameras, but is built with current digital photography’s features and functions, such as a 14-MP sensor, an LCD screen and modern controls.

For printing, the Polaroid Z340 features the company’s new ZINK Zero Ink Printing Technology. No film or ink is used; the technological breakthrough is the paper. It is saturated with dye crystals. When they become hot, the colors of the image appear. Unlike Polaroid’s famous instant film, no drying time is required and the prints can’t be smudged as soon as they are handled.
