RIM (Research in Motion) has unveiled camera/photography technology for its new Blackberry 10 that makes it possible to scroll through a series of frames of the scene or subject and select the one that is perfect. Instead of waiting and hoping to capture the perfect image of a small child, the photographer simply travels backwards or forwards in time until the right moment is found.
With RIM’s new technology, there will soon be a camera through which the photographer can time travel. During late February 2012, the Lytro camera was introduced with technology that allows the photographer to “space travel” by selecting what part of an image is in focus after the photo has been taken. It’s very likely these technologies will become common in many future camera models.
