Those of us that have been in the photography game often look back at our beginning years and think fondly of all the photography mistakes we made.
If you're just now at the beginning of your photography journey, those same mistakes that you make are probably more frustrating than anything.
But the key is to remember that with time and practice, mistakes will begin to go away (though they won't ever go away completely!).
The other key is to dedicate yourself to learning what to do and what not to do as a way to further minimize your mistakes.
In the video above, Pierre T. Lambert offers some sage advice for beginner photographers.
His list of photography mistakes is unique in that it doesn't focus on the typical do's and don'ts of things like composition and camera settings.
Instead, his list of things you should never do as a photographer looks at practical matters like forgetting to backup your image files and looking more at your camera's LCD than you do at the subject.

An important point that Pierre makes in his video is that these mistakes aren't just things that beginner photographers do.
Instead, he points out that even seasoned pros make these mistakes from time to time.
In other words, it's okay to make mistakes - they will happen!
But what often makes the difference between an amateur and a pro photographer is the ability to recognize when a mistake has been made and understanding what needs to be done to rectify the problem.
