Description

The Benro TAD28 with B2 ball head offers a good mix of durability and stability with affordability and portability. Priced at just over $200, the tripod has a high capacity of 22 pounds and reaches 65.4 inches. Macro work isn't out of the question with a 16.1 inch minimum shooting height. Operating both the ball head and leg locks is both quick and smooth. The aluminium construction and four leg sections make it a pretty stable tripod too.

While lightweight for a standard tripod, the 4.9 pound weight is easily much more than travel tripods. The folded length also isn't designed for travel at 24.6 inches. The feature set is also a bit minimal, with no interchangeable feet or counter weight hook. While not the best for long hikes, the Benro TAD 28 and B2 ball head is a very capable combination that offers great quality for the price point.
