I go to the bottom of the page and copy that one and paste it. Good thing no one can copyright the copyright symbol.

Not sure but I think the 0169 has to be on a keypad, not the keyboard numbers.
Here's the PS method

I use windows 7 and alt 0169 ( on key pad works )

But actually I copied the © and put in in note pad so I copy/paste when ever I need it

You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.

All instruction I have seen say it has to be on a keypad so that would explain. The copy in notepad is a sure fire cure.

In Windows start>programs>accessories>system tools>character map. Choose the character, copy and paste it into your text box in CS5.
or
In Ps CS5 make a new layer, select the shapes tool, choose the custom shapes option, make sure it's set to the default shapes, choose the copyright symbol, hold the shift key while draging the copyright symbol custom shape across the document, go to the paths palette, look up directions on the internet because by this time you've forgotten what to do, load the path as a selction, use the fill tool to fill in the area and finally move and/or resize to your needs.

Character map is the tool I use for this... Something to add to your knowledge base. Laptops have a numeric keypad built in. Use the FN (function) key and the M turns into a 0, JKL = 123 and so on... Cheers! :woohoo:

Scott Kelby described a simple way to create a Copyright stamp, using the shape tool and the typing too. The stamp can be applied on a layer, its size controlled with the sqare brackets, and the strength with the layer Opacity. Works very well and easily for me.
