A little editing

12 years 3 months ago - 12 years 3 months ago #199923 by CharlesE
I am new here so this is my first image share. I shot this for a client and have removed the background which is a pipe fence that was a bit distracting. I had done something like it with another image she has ordered so I wanted to keep them close so they can hang together in their home. I will try to add both images.

LOL great photos. I LOL because in the first one the horse is looking right at the camera and looks like he's thinking: "Who is this human?!"

Here is another one, maybe I can figure it out this time. It was from the same trip to Washington as the other two but out on the beach where it was overcast. I added the texture and rain to create the mood. I overlooked the insert button last time, thanks again for the help.

Your pictures are excellent, and a great example of how a little editing can make a great image a great work of art. :judge:

You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.

Thank you all for the comments about these images. When I read that this was a place for a passionate, artistic community, I wanted to check it all out. It is great to see folks really enjoy the craft of photography with passion. I enjoy both the camera side and the editing side of photography and always try to take my vision for an image to the highest level of my experience.

I am looking forward to seeing more of the members work here as time goes by and sharing more.

Thanks again,

Thank you Shanna-Marie for the compliments on my work. These were all taken when I went up to Washington for a group of horse people last August. I spent most of the last 12 years shooting editorial and commercial images within the horse community here in the US. Two years ago I started shooting more artistic portraits of horses and horses and people for horse lovers. It has been awesome to meet and work with so many different people to create images that make me feel good just looking at them.

I will share others as I learn more about the group and what others might appreciate. I do lots more than just horses though for myself and for a few clients. I enjoy hanging out with creative and passionate people that know how to enjoy their photography and are seeking to raise it to the next level. So far, I am enjoying browsing the site and will jump in more as I go.
