This website nails it home -

"As a photographer, your portfolio website is your business card in the digital world. An online presence is necessary for showing your work to the world and reaching potential clients. It is, therefore, important for every photographer to carefully think about the the design and content of their portfolio websites"

Vandalay?? I thought that was a joke, that's from Seinfeld. So is Stephen Snell, who supposedly writes and runs the site - that's from the episode where Kramer went to California and got a part on a Murphy Brown - as Stephen Snell (it was just on, I just saw it last week!).

But I looked it up, strange but it is a registered business. Looks like clickbait, just some guy's blog who's trying to sell something (has a Shop). Most of the example websites are poorly done, a mishmash of pictures.

These sites are very basic information at best and all seem to be somebody's blog or a website just to make money from ads. I had to look on the Facebook page to figure out that the Awwwards site is overseas and I don't know if it's legit or what. If someone doesn't already know this stuff they have a lot to still learn.

That was my initial reaction, too! I love that episode, hahaha
