The second ones does work better for me also. I still find a bit too much "dead" space and would prefer a tighter crop.

I agree ... i like the second one ..... But I think if you cropped it in - it would change the picture so it would not be so "dark" ...

Between the soft focus (tripod used?) and the really dark shadows it is hard to identify anything interesting in the shot. Number two does seem sharper but the offset is the increase in the darkness. I think you might play with the white balance and see what happens or better still experiment with black and white. Cropping might be a good thing at that point.

i just wanted to capture the nothingness of the night ......................(no tripod used)...i will see if the tinkering with brightness does some gud .......i like dark pictures so maybe thts why i don't notice it tht much............

Use a tripod and you'll get better results.

Your out there your trying and you are asking for help, well done for that, try dodging around the edges to create a bit more detail, I like the blackness but maybe theres just a little to much of it. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Pick a color (or it's complement) in the picture and use that to frame with.
