Its a beautiful scene but I feel this photo is a tad on the dull side compared to your usual photos Rob, maybe a trip into software and use curves to lift it.

:agree: it's an amazing vista but it needs a little "punch", some detail in the shadows and boost in saturation maybe?

Once again, a little dark on my wonky display. That distant forest in the center lacks interest. I'd be tempted to puch up the contrast, a lot, at least for that feature. If that's just not possible then I'd try some radical crops to move that out of the center of the frame.

Im hoping participating in critiques will help me with compostion and post processing.

So here goes;

I love mountains, peaks, ranges, valleys. Always appreciate the beauty of it. So I do like you photo very much and as the other said it seemed flat, thats fine with me too, I kind of have an impression this is an early morning photo. I just really like mountain pix.

Just a suggestion it might have been a more powerful image if we can see more of that winding road and crop out thos rocks in the lower left.

I like the overall image but the center seems a bit dark..maybe more contrast & brighten up the center a bit would help...try adding an adjustment layer in PS to see if that helps

Nicely done Rob. I like both versions of the image. The second one is improved in my opinion. :judge: :thumbsup:

Agree. Of course the obsessed can fuss with PP endlessly. But any further comments could be overruled by the differences in our displays. Much improved in my view.

i would like to see a combination of these. A 100% of the lower left of the 2nd image, a 50% blend of the middle diagonal of the background mountains and 100% of the sky from the first. i believe that would be very nice.
