Tough to shoot

This waterfall is a tough one to shoot. I have done it at midday and evening and the stream on the right is always in bright sun. I'll have to try early in the day or on a cloudy day.

Well it looks good to me even with the bright sunlight. But I see what you mean. #2 I like the back lit trees but the red rocks on the river bottom draw my eye. the third looks a little blue but that could be my monitor. Wish I had a stream to shoot:(

The falls are beautiful. A few days ago, I climbed to the top and took some from there, plus the "tunnel" the stream passes through on the way to the drop.
I will probably try a little PP on the third one. Thanks.
Oops, I hear a bald eagle calling my name. Got to run down the beach and check on it. :)

Pardon the interruption but she wasn't waiting around.

As soon as I got there, she took off and flew up the beach.

You did phenomal for that bright sunlight. You can tell how harsh it was, any plans on going back for a sun rise type light?

I like the cropped version. The light was very harsh so I think you did a great job. Not to mention some excellent eagle shots!

am going to try. It's only about 15 -20 minutes from here (if the road crews don't have traffic stopped like today).

Just in case you sleep in take along a Graduated ND filter. Turn it so it is filtering the right side of the shot. That will give you 2 stops between you and that bright sunlight.

Ahhh What a treat, these shots are beautiful John. Sun & Waterfalls are tough, love what you did with the last one. And the Eagle, OMG, how lucky is that?! My favorite of all birds, sucht a magnificent creature- your shots are Fantastic! :)
