A bit warped.....

A simple solution is to move your camera a little bit to the left and start your picture with the white house leaving out the buildings with the green roof.
I love the fall colours.

It can also help to put the horizon smack dab in the center of the frame. So that the camera is not tilted either up or down, even slightly. I know this violates one of the popular rules for good composition, but you can crop the top or bottom later to compensate.

Good point Rob, thank you! I do too, they've been alot more subdued this year though. Not many reds and lot's of browns.
Thank you Kelly, I'll give that a shot too!

Hey guys, since I've been unable to capture this shot again OR fix the distortion I decided to just crop it....

Shanna -
I was incorrect about the barrel distortion fix in Corel. It should have been the Perspective Change. Note how it straightened the house but cropped a bit of the rocks.
Before

After

Hope you don't mind me messing with it. I Am trying to learn Corel myself and this was a good exercise (after I beat my head on the wall a bit). :toocrazy:

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Thank you Rob, yeah, they're fading awfully fast! :)
Hi John, Thank you! Of course I don't mind you messing with it, sorry it had you banging your head against the wall though. I tried the perspective Change too but I can assure you, it looked NOTHING like what you've done. You Got it!! Thanks a bunch my friend. :)

I 'll email you the screen prints of where I set the box corners. It really was a fun exercise and made me use the software I bought. I have a lighthouse shot (Virginia Beach) that needs the same kind of fix. Hope I left enough space for the crop :)
