Its a very serene and peaceful photo makes me want to be there, one small critique, the boat gets a bit lost in that dark patch !!!!!

I agree with photobod, the dark patch stops it from being a powerful shot.. Im sure u agree with me too... ;)

It's a pretty shot, that could easily go from good to great. Just my opinion, but one of the ways to pull the detail of the boat out against that dark background would be to shoot in RAW (if possible), bracket 3 exposures and process as an HDR image.

If you want detail in the shot, you don't need HDR. Just edit in RAW, push fill and mask it in the shot.


I don't think the shot needs detail. The shadow of the boat shows mood and time of the shot.

I'd bump saturation but that's my style.
