HDR Bridge covering green water

12 years 5 months ago #170876 by Alex
Finally got out this weekend to take some photos. This shot was 9 photos bracketed together in Nik Software's HDR Efex Pro.

Don't be shy, let me know what you think of it.

Nice HDR effect, well done on that but looking through the bridge at the trees it looks as though the photo is tilted down to the left. :judge: :judge: :judge:

I am in agreement with the others. "Cooked" to the right "doneness". I would like to see it with David's suggestion to straighten. *In that case it's like Jimmy Buffett sings in Semi-true Story , "too much tequila or not quite enough".

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

I agree with straightening the photo, other than that I love the colors they give a very natural look.

Well done HDR, you got tons of range in this! I agree about straightening it.

It also seems to me there might be too much detail lost in the clouds and some of the foreground rocks. I wonder if you could get a good result from dropping the 2 most extreme exposures (the most underexposed and the most overexposed) and processing it with 7 exposures. You could probably keep a lot of range without losing highlight details.

Of course that's probably more of a style preference, this is probably the exact look you were going for, and in that case, it's really nicely done

Beautiful, I'm guessing that water isn't drinkable or OK to go swimming in

I love it....I for one do like the little creative angle to the picture to offset the angle of bridge...

Sweet! This is gorgeous, I'd straighten it a little bit too, other than that it's awesome. ;)

Colour is bit too over the top for me. I'm not the biggest fan of HDR and dutch tilts though so what would I know?!
