That's really lovely. I like the subtle blues of the ridges, I don't know that it would be easy to catch that in a photo. Truly exceptional, and a 'wow' especially with a photo with a monochromatic use of color.

I shot this in Aperture priority using -1.7 exposure compensation so not to blow out the highlights in the softened sky, that preserved the mountain foggy mist on the hills. Then in post (photoshop), I added a Graduated Neutral Density filter from Topaz on the top half and dropped the exposure on the sky 4 stops, then used the Topaz Adjust 4 to bring the shot up to exposure leaving the foreground about 1/2 stop underexposed to show a natural shadow, then a 10% burn and 10% dodge, then de-noise and that's about it as I recall. :)

Why aperture priority? It is easier to manual focus with the D60 as the meter turns into focus arrows like an older slr would have.
