I've been to Marin Headlands many times. But I didn't realize there was a light house there. I took a little hike get there and shot these. All were taken with my 70-200 f4. Cc always welcomed!!
Thank you!

Truth be told, it was cloudy and foggy all over and there was no sun to speak of. I mean zilch!! The blue skies were done PP.

Great series! :judge:

#2 jumped out at me as a really interesting shot, and I like the composition of the last one a lot.

Nice shots of Point Bonita. Good angles and well composed. Nice PP on the sky.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Thank you! Especially about number 2. That was one of my favorite shots of the day and was one that I had really hoped turned out well.

These are the rejects from the day. I kind of like them but they didn't turn out how I wanted them to, even in PP.

I would reconsider reject #1...I like it.

Thanks... I like reject #1, too... A lot! It was up there in my favorites for the day. But I just can't get it to show like I want it to. I wish the eyes were a little more sharp and visible. I want more color in the sky. When I tried messing with them, it became clear that I was trying something that just out the scope of my ability. I'll keep at it though.

The second one is my favorite, but the third one stands out, too...it speaks of hope and survival. I like the composition of the last one, and the first reject is a great shot. :)

I like the second one, it has a nice use of line which is a good contrast to the texture of the wall; the way you framed it the piece of the ironwork in the upper left balances the other piece in the lower right - nice composition.

The one of the white wooden fence is well done too because the fence going towards the right balances the building and the rest of the fence as it goes into the background to the left. I like the one too of the lighthouse blurred in the background with the edge of the grass in the foreground (if the grass was a bit taller it might have made for an even more interesting photo (but it's not like you could have told them ahead of time to not cut the grass too short, you want to take pictures!)

The one thing about enhancing the blue sky is that if the sky were that clear and blue, it would be sunny instead of cloudy and overcast and there would be shadows - which of course there aren't, so it doesn't seem to make sense in the setting - if they would be displayed together it might be more noticeable.

I think too the one of the duck in flight is actually pretty good, seems to be in focus and the angle of the foreground seems to work with the way the wing extends at an opposite angle.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to plan another little motorcycle excursion and stop there once again. I'd love to catch it at sunset or early morning.
