Following the bushfire

G'day all

A couple of pics following our local bushfires ~ although much of SE Australia is still burning out of control, now 6-million hectares of forest & grazing land lost and we still have 2, maybe 3 months of summer heat still to go

1)  timber fencing, lasts for years against rot and termites, but not fire

2)  immediately after the fire, new growth starts ~ life goes on

As always, feedback welcome

Thanks everyone for your responses and concerns

Our fire & emergency and local government authorities are now warning that the trolls and auto-bots are becoming a nuisance on 'social media' and spreading false information about a) the causes of the fires, b) the numbers of fires, c) the numbers of affected people & animals along with d) the setting up fraudulent fire-donation websites.

If anyone here wishes to find a bit more, google "au + ABC news" to get the Aussie gov't news site, =or= "au + SMH" to get the Sydney Morning Herald news site ~ both reliable and accurate news sites
