The aspens are beautiful that time of year. I got some great shot that time of year in Rocky Mountain National Park (the week before they closed the road over the pass (Oct, I think).

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

1. The trees appear very strange to me. Maybe not completely focus or too much PP, not sure, they just don't look right.
2. the sky is way too dark, IMO
3. watch your composition. The tree on the left side of the frame is sticking out more to be a distraction.
4. nice scenery.

Beautiful country any time of the year.

hi,
thanks for the critique.
i agree that the trees look a bit garish to me, as well. i took the first in the bright noon-day sun, when only mad dogs and englishmen go out. i used a polarizer, but i wasn't at a good angle for it to work, so to speak.
i use a moose polarizer, which i tend to overuse a bit, but i kind of like the dark blue. my wife does not, so i can see why most don't.
the composition issue is one i struggle with, as i'm a bit impulsive and not particularly artistic..

btw, i checked out your website. excellent work.
