A nice grey overcast day so I haven't looked at my inflight shots yet but I took the time to have a play with the flash and tried a couple of profiles after taking one I quite liked on my last trip...

Thoughts and crit most definately welcome :)

All are very good, but yes. The backlight in the first one is über-good. :)

Where are you going to get these pics?

I agree the first one is top shelf!!
What is the bird in the second one?

Don't pi$$ me off, I am running out of room to store the bodies...

Wonderful series of headshots on these . The first one is awesome! That black background really makes that image pop. Great catch lights most of the raptors eyes. I too am wondering, what that second raptor/bird is?

Wow, thank you for the feedback...

To try and answer the questions asked I am fortunate to have a great Hawk Conservancy 30 minutes drive from my doorstep so do tend to visit quite regularly :)

The birsd in the second photo is one of the more peculiar looking Birds of Prey, a Secretary Bird (Sagittarius serpentarius) an absolutely gorgeous bird with eye lashes that would make most women very envious :)

The catch light was me playing with the flash, it was rather a dull day today and rather nippy out, I think summer has well and truely come to and end :(

The last two are my favorite. The green makes the brown pop. Great series
