I figured there would be few birds at my feeders this morning since the weather is so dreary. I looked out the window to see what I could see. These two were leisurely eating...

Mourning Doves are such great subjects ... I always like to say that they fly like they are on "crack"! Bubba ... I love the passion that comes thru in your posts and photos!

good set, you know something in puerto rico when I was a kid
folks would go around hunting doves and and making soup out of them.

I only know this because well I have had it, my father & my uncles did it. But certainly not now
and people to my knowledge don't do that anymore. Weird how some
cultures are, but when I also was growing up we weren't at poverty but darn close to it.

Great series... :judge: :judge: :judge:  :woohoo:

I'm not sure about Doves being on crak... I think of them more as being pretty sedated. I'm thinking of one particular bird that was on her nest and allowed my to get a close up portrait of her eye... Nary a blink!

Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement.

I am very passionate with wildlife photography. I absolutely HATE taking pictures of people. People see a camera & instantly start "faking & posing". Animals, well, I don't know what's running through their mind, but they are what they are with no "faking & posing"

Again, Thanks, G
