 KUDOS on getting a great shot of one of these guys!!! They are my favorite little bird ( well, the black-capped from up North is...but this is close enough! ). I have a feeder, and have been working my way closer and closer to catch one on their go-to branch...GRRRR...they flit constantly! My next-to-favorite is the tufted titmouse...they are almost as difficult. I managed a couple OK shots of each, but have to crop around 50% for even a decent photo. I'm not wanting to settle for a 5X7...I want BIGGER!

Thanks everyone ... always appreciate the comments

Carol - You don't even want to know that my wife feeds our yard bird Chickadees and Titmice out of her hand in the winter ... I've just never bothered to get a photo. I guess the obvious has escaped me. This 'dee was a lot tougher, since it was not a feeder bird.

Dolan ... I agree on the ADHD!

YES! I've seen photos of them eating out of people's hands...it makes me very jealous! I also know how difficult it is to catch a small bird 'out in the field', so to speak. I got lucky one day and caught a decent shot of a Northern Parula, spied as I was driving along a wildlife drive. Knowing all of this is why I salute you!

I shoot large birds all the time... they are very easy pickings compared to these little guys. Congrats on another fine shot Bob. :judge: :judge: :judge: :judge:
