Brier Island on the Bay of Fundy west of Digby, Nova Scotia. It is one of the greatest spots for WW since the huge tide brings in many tons of plants microbes which feed the animal microbes which feed the krill - the whales favorite food. These are humpbacks which have no teeth and filter seawater through baleens to trap the krill, Adults are 40-52 feet long and weigh 40 tons.

Your first picture in particular is really nice. That's amazing to see, it looks like the scenery is stunning there, must be fascinating to watch the whales.

Charles -
One of the most amazing experiences ever. 50 foot whales 5 feet away from our 44 foot boat. Those Zodiacs were amazing. Maybe next time. Upside, faster to get there and get close. Downside, rougher ride and no bathroom. One of our guides (a marine biologist with a nice Canon) said try not to get whale snot on your lens - tough to get off. :)
