One of the most amazing experiences ever. 50 foot whales 5 feet away from our 44 foot boat. Those Zodiacs were amazing. Maybe next time. Upside, faster to get there and get close. Downside, rougher ride and no bathroom. One of our guides (a marine biologist with a nice Canon) said try not to get whale snot on your lens - tough to get off.
