My must have for visible light.

What doesn't work for me is that little half waterfall at the top. It is distracting to my eye. The rest of the composition is quite nice.

I'm hoping to make it out to Oregon one of these days!
icepics wrote: I wouldn't say it's uninviting, I think it might be more that there are a couple of different effects in use, the presumably long exposure giving the water that flowing effect, and the gold tone. It could be because of the moss on the rocks that what it makes me think of is gold dust being sprinkled on, maybe together it tends to seem a little artificial.
I don't always understand all the processing done with photos in general, to me it seems to get overworked or maybe sometimes there are too many different things going on so I feel like I'm often noticing that as much as anything looking at a photo.
I wouldn't know about color darkroom work! LOL - I know people tone B&W photos but I haven't done that other than in a class/workshop. I have experimented some with hand tinting a B&W print I did in the darkroom using a vintage Velox 'watercolor' kit; for being old enough to have the EKC label it blends beautifully, but a little goes a long way. A really long way.

Because it's a good image in every respect, and I can see people enjoying the serenity of it in their homes. If it's selling, what's not to love?
BTW how are you selling prints of this? Are you using a site or what? if you don't mind my asking...
