Roses

•A german publisher ordered both a picture for the cover and a otherfor an article title page inside the next edition. Special care is neededas the composition MUST be compatible with the standard layout ofthe magazine's coverThe subject and theme that month is rose gardening. I accepted thejob knowing that a friend of mine, though not a gardener himself, is aflower lover. He granted carte blanche to a highly skilled professionalgarden designer to create something magic.I paid Alfred a visit. We had a coffee and a easy going chat and, to hisgreatest pride, was given access to the whole property — as usual.…too bad I can't record smells! This is planned for the article's title page
… and this is for the cover page. -

Why is it that my pictures don't show???

That's a nice rose... Did you resize the second correctly? Add files?

Why so serious?

I always publish and link my pictures to my website at 1200 px long side and, yes, I did press the picture icon for each!

Is there a time limit to edit a post?

You can edit a post until another one follows it. As for your links, you're a newbie. I thought there were limits on what new members could do until they'd been here a while, participating. I could be wrong.

The rose is a lovely specimen, as are those leaves. Not wild about that background, but it should do well for a text overlay.

Then, it is my own fault… but learning.

Refreshing, it's been along time since I was called a newbie. :P

Good capture of the rose. Wish the background was more even.

Thanks.

My assignment, though, was home gardening as on the magazine brief.
I wanted to post a second picture intended for the cover but, being a
newbie here (its been a long time since I was called a newbie! :P ) I failed
to post!

…I'm learning fast!
