I mean… rare in central Europe, the Ferruginous Pochard.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

G'day mate

I am taken by the very strong colours in the image - but no doubt the bird does not mind :)

I used my translator to get the sense of your comment and,
in French, it makes no more sense than my understanding
of it in English. So, my conclusion is that there is a meaning
behind the words that escapes me… sorry Phil!

Would you please reformulate in a possibly less poetic way?

Can't figure out if you like, dislike, find it natural or artificial…

I think he meant the colors grabbed his attention more than the rarity of the bird itself. I did have to read it twice though!

Gorgeous capture. I agree on the colors; they are so nice and captivating. I like the blue hue to the water, as most of these bodies of water are a bit more brown and can make the shots rather boring.

Yes, the colour of the water. Well. it is because the marsh is feed
by a river, renewing it fresh a couple of times a day for one part
— specially when no rain was recorded since some days. Then,
the water clarifies and it acts more like a mirror, here reflecting a
clear blue sky.

After recent rains, the water gets brownish too… for a short while.
