Comparative Geese Hybrid

I found no source that agrees with the others in this matter. All
visited sites had different views — sometimes confusingly diver-
gent — so this is not totally encyclopaedic knowledge but rather
my modest way trying to understand… approximately!


These are all Greylag  feral hybrids as seen though the common plu-
mage. The Greylag goose is quite a medium size bird but these are
all huge after breeding them with the White goose in order to gain in
size for meat and eggs production a long long time ago.

Left- Swan goose hybrid, Centre- chinese goose hybrid (isolated long
enough to fix in a sub specie called African goose according to some
sources) and Right- a multiple generations of hybrids: White goose,
Swan goose and the obvious Greylag goose dominant plumage genes.
