Hoodman Hoodeye on Nikon D700?

How big is this eye  piece?  You'd expect they would use a more head on shot to give you sense of size.

The dimensions are listed as 4.25 x 1.25 x 7.13 inches. Don't think that deviates too much from your average eyepiece.

Yeah they are bulky, ugly and during hot weather create sweat pools.  But it works and it's awesome IMO.

That's why I don't have one, and I have little trouble shading the viewfinder in bright light, as I always wear a hat of cap by order of my dermatologist...:(

I've been using one of these for the last 5 years.  Granted from a size standpoint, these things are pigs.  And yes, are very ugly.  However it's the first thing I buy for my new camera bodies.  Because they work!
