That is genius! When your back is better, and you're shooting weddings again, you'll have to remind yourself to focus on the bride and groom, and not so much on the flowers she's carrying! Very nice!photobod wrote:

Another soft rendition... Are these studio shot?
the ones with the background in black are a studio set up, 3 lights, the ones with the white background are simply the flower in a glass filled with soil to hold it up straight, placed on my kitchen windowsill which is flooded with light, and shot with no flash, the background is an opaque white blind.

It would certainly surprise the bride and groom when they viewed the proofs and there were only 2 or 3 shots of them and the wedding party and 30 to 40 shots of the flowers. Just make sure to set up a hidden camera to catch their reactions. I'm glad you're enjoying it... and even more glad that you're sharing it with the rest of us!photobod wrote:

Are you suggesting that at the next wedding I will fall into flower shooting mode and forget theres a bride, you are probably right, I am so enjoying stretching my abilities, both in shooting flowers and using photoshop.

Thnx! Actualy, I try to keep it cold. I'll put the camera in my truck for a couple hours before i go out (if it's snowing) and let the camera drop below freezing (only if it's not a wet snow). As long as the lens and camera are below freezing and the snow is not wet when i'm out shooting, it wont melt on the camera and the snow just bounces off the face of the lens w/out melting on the lens element. I just make sure to have good batteries when i go outJohn Landolfi wrote:
