What I really like about this forum is that it's all about the photography, not brand wars.

I like both Canon and Nikon and would happily shoot both. I use to shoot Canon but currently Nikon are a better choice for me.

Actually, Nikon and Canon are what makes the other keep improving. The competition is good for us users, for sure. If I weren't a Nikon shooter, I would most certainly be using Canon.......B)

Of course... what's the alternative?! Sony? Even my diehard Sony fan friend says that Canon and Nikon are better (he just can't get away from Minolta Sony).

Pentax... ha they're owned by Ricoh now... let's see what happens.

Olympus. The pen is a good toy camera, but it's not serious about DSLR anymore.

I guess it's really about brand loyalty and the cost involved in switching from one to another for me. I was a dedicated Konica shooter from my first SLR ( 1980 ) till my first Nikon SLR ( 1993) and have been with Nikon ever since. Like the products and all the accessories I have and the service my local Nikon shop offers
