I'm sure a lot of you know about Meetup.com, but for those that don't ,you can find any interest groups on it in your area. It's a great way to meet people in your area that share your interest in Photography or any thing else.

This is a good way to get together with other photographers, especially if there is no local photo club (or the one that exists is dysfunctional).

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Thanks for reminding me about meet-up. I signed into two new groups and am hopeful for some fun and friendships developing.

Yup, I belong to several hiking groups on meetup, but there are no photography groups in my area...which sucks.

It's free to join. If you want to make your own meetup you have to pay a membership. Because of this, some meetups are completely free, some meetups charge each member whatever they feel they want to charge. Sometimes this fee is due when you sign up. Sometimes you only have to pay when you actually go on an event. All depends on the person who made the meetup.
