After shooting....how do you print for customers?

How do you prints pictures for your clients? Do you print your own, upload to an online lab? How?
I would like to make sure I have everything covered before I truly get myself into photographing babies.

You could print your own. Or you could upload to many of the online labs to have them print. Some labs with print and ship right to your customer. You could create a site through Zenfolio and have the client order right from your site.

Here is something else to consider....burn the pictures to CD. My family and friends all rather have pics on CD and print themselves. It doesn't cost me much to buy the CD and in return I don't have to charge as much either.

I use a Pro Lab - H&H and Meridian Pro for my printing. I do not use a CD or the Online Viewing Methods. I prefer to sit with my clients with proof books and computer viewing. I like to be able to upsell photo's and products. When a client sees a 8x10, 11x14, 16x20 or 20x24 matted and framed on a wall they see the difference and most generally will purchase larger photos. If anything, they will purchase the proof book 99% of the time and ask for CD as well.

I tend to print my own if under A4 anything larger I send out but allways have it sent to me first as I like to ok it first before it goes to my client, Johnnie is so right about sitting with a client I do a proof book and an online gallery but always find time to sit with my client as well.

That's a really good idea. Seeing this is all about baby photos, mothers would love seeing the prints in their hands. Thanks.
