What are the MUST read books for photographers?

You spend 5 minutes on Amazon looking for books and you quickly realize there is so many to choose from.

So I'm going to post a question here to see what suggestions are recommended on this subject.

If you have a good experience with a book, then post up your thoughts on it here :)

I would suggest Scott Kelby's series on Digital Photography

National Geographics FIELD PHOTOGRAPHY GUIDE is a good resource that covers a lot of ground in a concise edition

I'd also read up on Scott Kelby's Photoshop books.

I agree, I have read Understanding Exposure from Bryan Peterson, great book!

I liked Composition by "Photo Workshop". I have also read Understanding Shutter Speed and Exposure from Bryan Peterson which were very good books also.

Same here, those two are my favorite's. This weekend I just picked up a couple new books on lighting. They are in another room and I can't recall the names of them!

Thanks for posting this question. I'm a beginner photographer and I've made a list of all the books that the replies to you question have generated. I won't get to them all, but at least it's a good list for me to start on.
