I was just reading article on film camera's and back in the day photography techniques. Interesting, but do people still use film only?

Since cameras became ubiquitous in cell phones 100% film shooters have become as rare as hens' teeth. It's still possible to find folks who do almost all of their serious or professional photography on film, but even they will often take snapshots with their cell phone cams. My uncle still shoots with the Pentax Spotmatic he's used since it was a new camera, and I don't think he has a fancy cell phone. He and one other guy are the only people I know who are still only shoot with film, and never, ever use digital cameras.

In 2003 I was convinced I would be a film shooter / darkroom souper all my life. I made my last film exposures that ever got developed in the summer of 2006, and finally closed my darkroom down for good this spring. :)

What sort of "back in the day techniques" are you talking about? Many can still be used with digital.

I met a photographer (looked to be in his fifties) last year in Maine still shooting with a Blad of some sort, claimed he would never make the move to digital. I wanted to say, "wanna bet", but just nodded and moved on to find my own scene......:)

Why so serious?

I forget the photographers full name here, but his first name is Karl and I believe he shoots only film? Amazing work if you ask me.

Karl Wertannen. His work is great. I actually got to shoot with him the other day.
