Do you ever have your camera professionally cleaned?

I'm just wondering if anyone ever has a pro clean or service your camera as part of a annual inspection or service? I keep mine in pretty good shape and cleaned all the time, but I'm no camera repair or service pro.

Just don't send with a battery, or anything they can lose, because they WILL lose it.

I get mine cleaned at an authorized nikon repair shop (they're authorized to do canon as well) at a local place.

I had a blob on all my photos so I took it to the Canon service center in NJ and they cleaned it for me. I don't think it cost me anything because I dropped it of and picked it up a few days later.

Same here. :) Not that I can't clean my own camera ( I have a couple of times) he's just better at it. :)

I clean my own after a while it becomes second nature a bit like riding a bike, I dont see the point in paying out money for something you can learn to do yourself.
