Screen protectors for camera LCD

12 years 9 months ago #120188 by Number 7
So I was over at Walgreens last night to get a few items and in their bargin bin they had this Invisible Shield by a company called ZAGG. This was cut to size phone protector screens. Once I got into it I realized there is a application solution and sponge to apply the clear protector to the screen on the phone.

I was wondering, can this be applied to my LCD screen on my camera? Would that work?

Probably ok, but why not get the protectors designed for your camera? They're not that expensive.............;)

Why so serious?

I don't see why not. If it's design to protect one type of screen it should protect another type of screen.

Most likely all the same stuff, just packaged differently.

I see you have a Nikon, My D300 came with a plastic protector, It is removable so you can clean and replace, I don't think I would want to just stick something on my LCD screen. Check BH or Adorama to buy one.

As Jan said Nikon makes protectors for the LCD but I see no reason why you couldn't use one of the ones you bought.

Yes they will work and they are made to peel off later if you choose to. Those plastic covers suck, so I replaced mine with the GGS protector. The are made from glass and are fairly inexpensive. I think they are like $15 and come with a protector for the top LCD.

When you say they suck, was that because the peeled? Or ?? I'm thinking to not even apply this.

They do peel from my experience, plus they get hazy
