Any Canon EOS 1D Mark III users?

I'm toying with the idea of going all out and buying a Canon EOS 1D Mark III camera. I've read reviews online, but I'm not sure I trust them -- too afraid most of them have been paid off to be positive, I guess.

Anyway, does any here have personal experince with the Mark III? I'd be interested in hearing your views and recommendations. Thanks.

I've owned one, what are you concerned about?

I currently have two (2) Canon 1D MarkIII bodies. Both are terrific cameras. One is over 75,000 shutter actuations .. The other is well over 100,000 "clicks"

Great camera in my opinion. About the only drawback I can see, other than a hefty price tag, is that, with my 70-200 lens attached, it's a fairly weighty piece of equipment. I found myself tilting to oneside as I walked :P

But, seriously, I think it's hard to go wrong with any high-end digital camera these days. And once you get that new camera and all the equipment, the excitement and enjoyment will make you forget a little extra weight.

I agree 100 percent. Weather sealing is awesome. I was in snow/ freezing rain the other day and was worry free.
