Thinking about having some metallic prints made

13 years 4 months ago #12918 by donleavy
I saw some awesome prints at a local show that were done on metallic paper. They all had a high glossy finish and really looks metallic in appearance. The artist described it as "Chrome on Paper."

I'd like to get some done of my own work. Is this something I need a special printer for? Do I have to send the work out? If so, can anybody recommend a good place to send my work?

Thanks in advance for anyone's advice.

Try MPix to see if you like your images on metallic paper. They do an excellent job.

They have a good reputation.

You don't say what kind of printer you have, but if you want to try printing them yourself, try Nations Photo Labs. They carry a number of different professional-level paper types including the Endura Metallic.

If you try it yourself, let us know how it turns out.
