What is the least used lens in your collection?

I'm looking around at some new gear and rather than asking "which lens do you recommend" question. I wanted to see what lens do you use the least and would say didn't warrant the cost of it.

I have only 3 for my DSLRs and use them all frequently. The lits zoom comes in handy for many "lanscape" type shots, the 70-300IS for wildlife and outdoor sports, and the 50 for people, macros and others. Trying to decide if my next one will be a faster tele or a true macro. Decision, decisions.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

My least used lens would be a 70-200 f/2.8, but when I need it I'm glad it's there, so it's worth the price.

My Macro lens is my least used but i would like to use it more and the expense of all of my lenses were well worth it

I am like John and only have 3; 85mm macro (it is still new and getting all of my attention), 70-300 mm (I like it for birds and it wonderful to use with my tubes) & a 18-55mm (it was the kit lens. I use it the least but I love it for landscapes).

For me, the least used lens would be my telephoto (70-200). But I expected it to be, so I bought a cheap one, which makes it worth the cost.

For the focal lengths you know you'll be using a lot, go with the best glass you can afford. Figure out what your strengths and interests are and buy your lenses accordingly - that way you won't spend a huge amount of money on a lens you hardly ever use. For me, I mostly shoot landscapes and people, so I got a nice wide angle with some zoom and a sharp prime lens. Sports and wildlife I shoot a lot less, so I didn't need to spend a lot on a telephoto.

I too am glad I have the 70-200, good for portraits and with the teleconverter more distance, but it is heavy and I don't use it as much as I should. I like my lighter 18-200 nikkor the most. I like my super wide angle for landscapes and creative shooting.

Since I got the 50mm f/1.4 for Christmas last year, my 50mm f/1.8 hasn't been touched

Probably my AF Nikkor 70-210mm f4. I mainly use my Zoom-Nikkor 80-200mm f4.5 because the IQ is so amazing. I only use the 70-210 when I NEED to have AF. :)

Some day I'll get an 80-200mm 2.8D and store the other two lenses.

It is what it is.
