Are you using a DSLR or P&S as your main camera?

DSLR - now. Prior to that I had a compact ultra zoom by Olympus.

I've been primarily shooting with DSLRs since I switched to digital. I've owned a Canon Powershot G7 for several years, but hadn't been very thrilled with it. I just got a Sony NEX-3 compact camera, which has an APS-C format sensor ,and I like it a lot better than the Powershot, but I still think 35mm DSLRs are going to continue to be my main cameras, even when not working, for the near future.

My first DSLR was a Sony, and that was just a few years ago. Before that, back to 2001, a little Canon point and shoot. Prior to 2001, various 35mm SLR cameras.

I use DSLRs (Canon 5D and XTi aka 400D) and a 35mm film SLR (Nikon EM). I want to get a P&S for those times when I'd rather just have something compact, but I can't decide on one. I want one that's going to produce a really nice image, but I hate the idea of spending almost as much on a P&S as an entry-level DSLR!

I'm on my 7th DSLR. I have 2.
