I'm look for a quick and easy way to batch process watermarks on my photos, with control over size and placement of mark. I'd like it to look professional without costing a fortune - like under $50.00 or so.

You might try googling for GIMP and see if it does that. I use CS but that cost more than $50.

Lightroom 3. There's a built-in watermarking function that you can use to add a simply watermark or apply to a *.jpg or *.png upon export.

There's a donationware program you can download called MOGRIFY. It gives you alot of control over watermark placement. You can even add borders to your images along with the watermarks. I think I gave them about $5.

Actually, I don't recommend watermarking. they are easily removed. I feel it's better to only give out or post low resolution versions until you've been paid. Then, if you feel the print is better at a higher res, give the purchaser one at 300 or so.

watermarking is not a bad thing, as long as it doesn't take over the whole image. Yes it can be removed if someone really wants to go through that much trouble. One can also watermark a low res photo.

A photo needs to be very professional to be sold for $300. A normal everyday photographer has to be lucky to sell a picture for $300. It has to be one incredible photo.
