I feel like a bone head, needless to say what a night!

Anyone happen to catch the full moon last night? I was so excited yesterday about putting some time aside with the family so I could head out to the country with my camera gear to take some moon shoots and night time photography. So what happened? After driving nearly an hour and getting all set up and taking a few shots. My battery dies in my camera, no problem I have spares. :pinch: :pinch: Crap batteries are sitting on my desk at home because I took them out of bag to give a quick refresher charge :pinch: dang it! Night ruined.

Hell, I've done worse, and lots of times. This experience should help you establish a pre photo work flow, I know I have developed one and it usually saves me....

Why so serious?

I've done that also, I now have a pre flight check list before leaving the house.

yup a check list is a must, many moons ago I did race nights and I set off to do one about 75 miles from where I lived, got there and had forgotten to put the projector in the car, (idid say it was many moons ago) never forgotten anything since.

Ive driven 4 hours out and left my d700 battery on the charger at home.

I've gone out and didn't bring spare batteries for flash, but was only a few minutes from the house. Does that count? ha ha ha

I've gone out and forgot my memory card. It was sitting in my computer from the last time I transfer photos from it.

I'm guessing you didn't have a battery in the camera either :pinch:

This wouldn't have happened in the old days. You know, before they invented batteries.
