How would you rate your skills as a photographer?

I was talking to a sales rep with B&H and he told me to always be humble with yourself. Don't portray yourself to be better than you are. (I was telling him I'm brand new to the industry and would love to do wedding work some day).

Let's have some fun, how would you rate your skills as a photographer on a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being the best.

I'm easy... I'm a 1 B)

I try not to rate myself as there are always those who are much better and those who are learning to be much better. I'm still learning to be better every day

I've found there are a wide variety of skill sets that can be useful for photographers. With some of those I'm pretty good, and others I'm lousy at.

exposure: 10
lighting: 7
film processing: 7
film printing (RA-4 or silver gelatin): 7
digital processing: 8
ink jet printing: 1
scanning: 5
posing: 6
creativity: 6
people skills: 6
business skills: 2

I'd rate myself higher in the technical aspects of photography than in the creative side. I know how to get correct exposures and take photographs. I can manipulate exposure and DoF, I know what to do in low light, what lens to use in a given situation, etc. On those things I'd give myself somewhere around a 7 or 8.

What I struggle more with is having a unique sense of creative style. In that area I'd probably say I'm about a 4.

Depends on the day, some days I do a very good job and then there are 'those' days.

I'm going to say averaging all the aspects that go into photography, I'm a 5 to 6 with plenty of room to learn more.

Wasn't me :)

9 or 10, but my laziness is easily at 100,000.

Past levels 1-3

Current levels 3-4

Future levels... 5 or more - I hope.
